IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

I taught school (grades 4-8) for 30 years before I began my professional organizing business in 2019.  “Teaching students gave me great insight into the world of how others learn best.  This includes your home environment. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.  I believe in helping my clients improve their organizing skills and to make their home a pleasant place in which to live and work.  I am industrious, hardworking, and yes, naturally organized.”

Dorothy Draa-Miller is the sole proprietor of DDM Organizing Solutions LLC.  I serve the surrounding areas of Summerville, South Carolina, Dorchester and Berkeley counties, and throughout the Low Country. DDM Organizing Solutions can also be found in the Summerville, SC professional organizers directory on FindMyOrganizer.com.

Dorothy is a professional organizer and a member of NAPO (National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals), BNI Summerville Sales Force, and a former member of NAPO-GA. She has received glowing reviews from each of her clients.  Dorothy promises to exhibit integrity, objectivity, respect for clients, competence, and courtesy.

TWO Ways to work with DDM

While both processes start with you -

the way we proceed can look very different

1. You organize with us.

The optimum way for an organizer to help clients to the fullest is to participate with the clients in each session. The strategies that organizers implement are meant to teach and show how to declutter and organize an area so that the system will/can be maintained in the future. We understand that some strategies may not work, or may need modifying, and that’s perfectly okay. DDM Organizing Solutions will assist you with decluttering, purging, packing, unpacking, donation removal, and even estate selling. We can walk with you through your entire process so that an end result of your living/working space is one that you are pleased with.

Benefits of this type of session include:

  1. Clients can learn organizational skills that he/she may not already know.
  2. Clients often enjoy the rapport that is built in working directly with the organizer.
  3. Clients are able to watch how organizer works through the process; thus learning the transferring of organizational skills.

2. We organize for you.

This type of work session works well for clients who already have a busy lifestyle, little flexibility in their schedules, life circumstances that catch up with those clients who are already organized, but just need a boost in the organizing direction, those who have physical limitations, those who already have other professionals in/out of their home, packing/unpacking for a move and client just needs everything packed and/or set up. All of this can be discussed during the initial consult.

Benefits of minimal involvement from the client include:

  1. The process often goes faster.
  2.  Fewer distractions for the client.
  3.  The organizer may be able to work a longer session suitable for both her and client.
  4. Scheduling can be easier.
  5. Client sees tremendous progress and instant gratification.
